Who are we and why is there a Bus Renew

Bus Renew was
started to meet a financial need in rural school
districts, and create a sustainable employment base, and
strengthen the economies of local school districts and
their communities.
While these are lofty goals, we know achieving the goals will
only be because of hard work, dedication, vision and
perseverance by the owners and employees of Bus Renew along with the support of
vendors, suppliers and local lenders. As business owners we
care about our neighbors and want to see new and sustainable
employment that is meaningful created in our community. But we
can't do that just from the goodness of our heart and will,
there has to be a compelling business proposition behind our
good intentions and ideas.
The Business Case
In Arizona alone there are over 7,000 yellow school buses
registered to transport over 500,000 children every school
day. Each year almost 15% of these buses are being replaced
due to age, federal regulation or use. We purchase the best of
these units in the open market, bring them to Cochise County,
refurbish and clean them so they can be put back in reliable
service once again. Bus Renew

starting first in our home county of Cochise and branching out
into neighboring counties of Graham, Greenlee, and Santa
Cruz Counties and then on to the other eight rural
counties. Bus Renew repairs and
upgrades our units to make them reliable and safe, they become
the pride of every district. More than half the total
registered units are in rural districts. These buses travel
long distances to get our children to school so they can be
prepared to become productive adults. When Bus Renew helps districts save on
transportation costs, that means more dollars can go back into
educational instruction. We think that uses our tax dollars
more wisely. We know that is a Win-Win-Win for School
Districts, their communities, and the employees and suppliers
of Bus Renew.
